I was taking Lofepramine for 3 months and it seemed to be working pretty well except for the fact that it gave me real bad constipation. My doc decided to switch me to Zoloft which i have been taking for two weeks. I stopped the Lofepramine one day and started with the Zoloft the next. Anyway my question is, do you think the Lofepramine would stop working before the Zoloft started or would they just tie in together? From what i can gather they are different kinds of anti depressants, i know Zoloft is an SSRI but i think Lofepramine is different. Has anyone changed meds and found the old one stopped working and you still had to wait several weeks for the new one's to kick in? Any advise please.

i think basicly that no one knows the answer to your question
a gap of about 3 weeks was recommended for swapping to an antidepressant of a different type, then your method was used, sometimes a smaller dose of both is taken for a few weeks
theres a small chance the zoloft wont work for your anxiety at all

Is Zoloft not affective in anxiety?
