I was wondering if GERD causes bad breath to come from within? No matter how much I brush I still have bad breath, but I can feel the bad smell is coming from the inside of my throat. This is an everyday thing. Like I said there is nothing I can do that I am aware of since its coming from inside, so I thought maybe this would have something to do with the stomache....Has this happened to any of you? Or do you know if this is common with GERD? Do you know anything about this at all?

I think this is extremely common with gerd. I get it on and off. I do take slippery elm regularly and I haven't had the bad breath badly for a while. Don't know if that helps with this.
Do you get a clammy mouth aswell - i drink a lot of water for both symptoms but it doesn't seem to help that much!

Jcmbn, if the air coming out of your nose also smells bad then yes I believe it is within. If however you only have bad breath coming from your month then I don't think GERD is to blame. I have had GERD now for over 6 years. I've treated it with PPI's, have had an endoscopy to check for damage and am now controlling it through diet. I was quick to blame GERD for my cronic BB but the air I exhale from my nose does not smell and so I am still searching for the cure to BB.
