Hi
Just wanted to update. I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy on may 9th.

I am a bit nervous, but tired of the pain. I am having my period right now, and it has been very painful, to the point I cant sleep.

Hopefuly I will feel normal again !! And NO MORE CYSTS !!!

Ask him to try to save the nerves to the vagina area.

Hey djl.....well, glad to hear you are hopefully going to get your problems under control!! What a long, crazy ride!!! My friend who just had her grapefruit cyst removed (whole left side ovary and tube) is still having lots of problems....it just really SUCKS for you all!! I do wish you the best of luck next week - my mom will be having an angiogram that day as well, so i will spend most of the day praying for you guys!!! I do check the board now and then, so I'll look for your recovery post :-) Take care!!

What type of hysterectomy are you having?

I have been reading up on laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, which preserves the cervix and requires only a one-day hospital stay and half the recovery time. If I need a hysterectomy, that's the one I'd want.

Hey Kekkykay...Thanks..Hopefuly I will feel human again !! How are holding up?? Hey, How did they find that you were early menapuasal?? Was it by blood work??

Hey Nikki!!

Yep..Hopfuly I will be doing better soon !! My ovaries are hurting me so I know there is another cyst !! The re-coop is gonna suck...but I just hope there is a light at the end of the tunel !! Hey, so you had a friends that had a cyst the size of a grapefruit !! MY GOD How is she doing?? hey, did you mention something going on with your mom?? Whats up??
Hey how have you been doing??

As for the option of a hyst by Lap...That is what I wanted, but the doc thatb would be assiting with that type of hyst and who is an expert does not take my insurance !!! It figures !! So I am having it the old fashion way !! I am getting CUT !!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but my friend with the huge honking cyst is STILL having problem...they think it might be endo - she had the surgery 2 months ago and has been bleeding ever since - it's like the never ending cycle of womanhood - unfortunately you know all about it!!

My mom is having an angiogram and has already been through a battery of tests relating to her heart (started with leaky valves) My dad already had a quad bypass, so I'm thinking I should move my focus higher up!! I have had only minor aches and pains (knock on wood) since last summer, so i'm good! Although I find myself hyper-aware and analyzing every little twinge or pinch now!

Again, best of luck on the surgery and recovery!! I'll check back for your progress...if i can find your MOVED post that is!!
