Hi guys,I am 19 years old and last year (january 2004) i have had my first big problem with CF, my left lung collapsed (about 90% of the lung was down), I had a drain put in to take the air out, was in there for a few weeks, at which time i got IV's (through my arm) and since then, a year has passed and i havnt been admitted into hospital, apart from the checkup every few months.

However rescently my left lung has went down a little (about 10%) and has been the same for the past 3 weeks (x-ray every monday for the past 3 weeks) and now the doctor has advised me to see the surgeon and have talks about getting an operation to bring the lung up and keep it up.

My question is has anyone else had surgery on the lung before? It's not something i want to get done ofcourse, i would like to hear some views.
