 This was very strange. I had just arrived home from work and feed my cats when all the sudden it felt like I had a short circuit...like my brain and heart suddenly were turned off, almost violently, for a split second. Since then (roughly 5 hours), I have felt very strange since light headed at first, a light chest compression consistently, and a strange overall 'feeling". I have reviewed many websites for heart attacks and such, but I dont seem to meet that criteria. Any help!!???

Thanks,

Keefer

I hope you are doing ok and haven't had another weird feeling today. It is hard to say exactly what that feeling might have been and I certainly hope you will talk to a doctor about what you felt. I am wondering if maybe it was some type of seizure? I am not a doctor but my husband has seizure disorder so I am familiar with them. He doesn't have funny feelings in his chest like you mentioned but he does with his brain and rest of the body. He also is out of it for quite a while. I certainly do not want to scare you or anything but just wanted to offer an opinion and support. I am willing to share any more information with you about seizures to help you sort this out. But please get yourself checked out and figure out why you felt this way even if it was only one episode.

Take care and please let me know how you have been.

You could have had a small anxiety attack. If thats what it was, it doesn't create any problems with your heart. Go to the anxieity threads and read what they have to say. Good luck : )

Sounds like a panic or anxiety attack to me. After I have a panic attack I have a strange feeling for hours afterwards if I do not take a xanax. They can really come out of nowhere for no apparent reason.
