Hi,

I have been sleep talking every now and again for a couple of years. My mums room is a couple of rooms away from mine, and I always sleep with my door shut. Last night she said that I was screaming out sentences really loud, and it woke her and my brother up. She said it was the worst it had been for ages, and I'm beginning to worry about what I'm actually saying. It feels really strange for me to hear that I talk in my sleep, not having control over it. I went to give blood a month or so ago and they couldn't take it because they said I had an irregular heart beat, but it seems fine now. I usually don't have any problems getting to sleep, or staying asleep. Even last night, I woke up feeling fine. I am not any more stressed than the next person. I am curious to find out the reasons behind talking in your sleep, and if it can be stopped. At the moment I'm finding it more amusing than a problem, but I am a little concerned about it progressing as I get older. I am 19. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
