I am a bit concerned as we have not heard from you recently and I know we have had a couple of posts that you would have wished to respond to. Hope everything is going well with your husband and that you are both just enjoying the English spring!!

Hi Alison
Have been on holiday to a local health spa ............ well ok, it was the local NHS hospital. Had to have hysterectomy..... they kicked me out after 3 days and now am home with husband busying himself looking after me. Have only just logged on and have not read all the posts.
It was nice to be missed though...... thanks

It must be interesting to have your roles reversed and your husband now looking after you! Hope you recover quickly...make the most of this time as a patient!!!

Hi guys, thanks for posts. Am doing ok-ish....... bit slow in the mornings but pottering around doing nothing.
Alison
I don't like being a patient at all. DH is trying really hard at looking after me but ya know how it is...... he does things differently so I have to just bite my lip and carry on doing nothing. It's automatic after all these years to just want to pick that bit of laundry up, or clear away those dishes but my body tells me not to soon enough if I try so therefore i dont. I did have a small panic attack when i thought my stitches were bursting apart so dh had to take deep breath and take a peek ...... he reassured me that there would be no scenes reminiscent of Alien in our house
And forgot to tell you all about the most important bit of news. As I was going under the knife in one hospital, dh was having check up with colo-rectal surgeon in another and he got another clear set of results...... tarrahhhh :bouncing: I apparently totally confused my gyno surgeon by asking him how the colonoscopy results went...... the theatre staff were stunned to silence thinking they had done a hysterectomy instead of a colonoscopy....... surgeon has still not forgiven me but i think that is unfair as i was still under the influence of anaesthtic.
hope all is well with everyone
regards

You always make me laugh, Ktee! I am so glad DH's results continue to be great...he is a wonder and gives hope to so many people on this board. I can imagine your difficulty in being the patient for a change but you must take it easy....how often do you get this opportunity to be waited on hand and foot? You had better make the most of it. Why is it we women must always be in charge, yet the men, well mine anyway, have no problem allowing us to do everything! Mind you, mine is working so hard at the moment, I am glad I am able to continue taking on everything else. My next task is completing Inland Revenue tax returns....wonderful job!!
Stay well, both of you!
Love,
