Ok, so something is wrong with me and I have no idea what it could be, I've done tons of research. I know more than most do, but I just cant figure out whats wrong with me and I really need to know cause I can only seem to work for 3 hours a day, after that I honestly just cant get and/or force myself to do anything else. Im self employeed, so its not an immediate problem. I really cant think of any other symptoms that I might have that cause this, its just general excersize intolerance, my mom seems to be kinda off set herself, she sleeps for 12-16 hours and then will go work a 15 hour night shift in through the morning. She has a thyroid problem, and OCD symptoms. I think what ever condition I have, it came from her. If you can think of anything related to a specific metabolic disorder please fill me in. Please don't post about ADHD, it wont help, and Ill pass on explaining the complexities of why.

Well, a good place to start would be to rule out the obvious stuff. If you haven't already, I would suggest seeing a physician and getting a complete physical and blood work done including tests for blood sugar, thyroid, testosterone, AM cortisol, any possible infections, and possibly get a sleep study done. Of course if everything turns out ok, your doctor is going to have to rule out a phychological illness as well. You didn't explain much about experiencing any other symptoms along with your constant fatigue, but remember that fatigue by itself its not a diagnosis, rather a symptom of something greater. Good luck and be sure to fill us in.

Thats all very true, expecially the fatigue not being a diagnosis, I suppose I will have to go talk to a doctor. Thanks for the response.

Some other symptoms that I have are when I work out my nose and inner thighs will get all tingly, which is a sign of a nerve or circulation problems, my guess is circulation but im not sure. When I eat food I seem to space out really bad, my vision blurs to the point that I cant read anything(this happens to my mom too). Weight gain seems to be a problem, even though I can control it, I know this because my brother, who cant control his eating habits(due to abnormal mental disabilities, of which doctors cant pinpoint), is pretty large, hes probaby pushing 280-300lbs, which is alot for my family. I also dont seem to be as strong as other people, mentally, Im not sure how I can explain that though. Anyways after working for two and a half hours today I feel pretty drained, I can still function and everything, but something just isnt right. Its almost like I start getting mental confusion and my brain panics to the point that I have to stop working, so I go as long as I can and then just go home. My sleeping seems to be fine, I can go to bed when I want, getting up is pretty tough though and I seem to need around 10 hours of sleep most of the time. My hands get cold really easy, sometimes ill shake hands with someone and theyll state that my hands are freezing. If I think of anything else Ill post,

I'm willing to bet that many of these symptoms (the trouble getting up in the morning, cold hands, poor circulation, strange feelings after eating) are related to some kind of metabolic problem...most likely insulin or thyroid or both. Of course, the only way to know for sure is to get a blood test. I hope you will visit your doctor soon and get checked out.
