View Full Version : Going To The Surgeon

Finally going to the surgeon to see if he can help. I've had bad throat clearing for the past year and a half. I only recently started a full dose medicinal program, but after a month nothing has improved. I've had two ph double probes and everything came up negative. It's a bit of a mystery but I just can not take this any longer.

Any opinions or insights would be welcomed.

Do you have any other symptons? It seems for many people, LPR (throat symptoms from GERD) takes up to 6 months of daily double dose ppis to resolve itself. Chest pains and burning and other 'typical' GERD symptoms should resolve a little more quickly. Also, I've read the ph probe is not always completely accurate as GERD has good days and bad ones. Were you on PPIs when you had the probe? If not, how long had you been off of them? Please keep us posted on what your surgeon says.
