My doctor just told me I have one kidney smaller than the other and is sending me to a specialist. If you can live with just kidney anyway, why would this be a concern? Just curious on getting some insight to this!

well, i think your doc wants to find the reason that you have either one enlarged or one shrunken kidney.it could be the result of some sort of disease or condition that you are not aware of as of yet.or it could just be congenital.Either way, wouldn't you like to know why?marcia

hi, the right kidney tends to be naturally about 1/2-1 inch bigger(longer) than the left one. mar
