Hi. Umm.. So I was with a girl about 2 months ago. I have'nt been with anyone since and she gave me oral. About a couple weeks later I noticed a flesh colored wart near the base of my penis. Now it's a little pink and looks like a millimeter sized nipple (haha) also around my pubic hairs I have 4 other small "nipple" like warts that look kind of like pimples. There are none on the actual penis... So I was wondering could this be genital warts or what? There are 5 total all in the pubic area...

Thanks...

I'm not a doctor, so this just a suggestion, if it were me, I'd see a doctor for peace of mind.

yes it does sound similar to warts it can be spread through vaginal ,anal, and sometimes rarely even orally from having sex with a partner that has warts already
so i would go and have it checked out

Sounds like warts...especially if they haven't gone away after a week. Warts will not go away on their own, they usually require some treatment. So you should go to a clinic or a doctor and have them looked at. It is best to get them treated ASAP.

Well, you didn't get them from oral. If you had genital-to-genital contact, and you probably did, then that might be how you contracted HPV. However, you could also have gotten it from a former partner as well.

Don't stress out over this. It's about as innocuous as it gets. Really, how many people do you know who freak out about getting a wart on their hand? I'll bet not very many. So, this just happens to be around your genitals instead of your hand. Our sex-negative culture is the real problem, with the ridiculous hype and stigma about STDs. If it makes you feel better, just about all of us will have contracted at least one strand of HPV...

Usually genital warts do not appear at the base of the penis; they usually appear on the shaft or the (glans) head.

However, they must not be hair follicles, since you said they changed in appearance...let us know what the doctor says.

yo- go to doc asap..it is very likely that it is warts...abot 80% of sexual active pop has HPV-the virus that causes warts...but most ppl dont produce the symptoms...if you have it you can get it treated and in about 90% of the cases you will not have recurrenes and not be contagious after about 6 months. BTW I got warts and is why I know so much about them.
