How about when someone who post who is having a really bad day that we all reply to their post, even if it's just to say a word or two, we don't know when one of us will be reaching out for help.
I know we can't come here all day into the night but if you do come and see such a post please reply, you never know maybe something you say will get them through the day .
Please don't take this the wrong way for me asking what we do here, I know I'm new here but what I'm thinking of is when I made my first post and some replied to it making me feel better.
We can all help each other where people who don't have a drug problem may
not being they don't understand what we're going through.
Helping others will help us to become stronger.

Look at you becoming such a great leader and inspirer! You are on your way to becoming a vetran member before no time. You are absolutly right in what you say and I'm sure everyone appreciates it. I for one am making a vow that I will not lead a thread that I read go unnoticed...if I take the time to read it and can offer some sort of encouragment or advice...you will be seeing me type away! With all of the help that has been given to me off of these boards...I have no problem paying it forward! Let's spread the love around people!!! :bouncing: :bouncing: :bouncing:

A Great Idea!!!

I don't go to any meetings, in fact no one knows that I am going through this except the people on this board. I went through this a couple years ago and my husband was so un-supportive that there is no way I would let him know that I went down that hole again!

I am confused as to how one gets on these boards with the most recent posts. How do you do that?? I am often up into the wee hours of the morning and would be happy to be here for someone.

Welcome to the boards. You found a great site. I'm not sure I undersand your question about finding new posts. When you come to the boards, all the new posts will be on top. While surfing the boards, you can hit the refresh button and new post will show. Hope that helps. Also there is a search function up top if you want to snoop around that way too.

Right on!!Positive reinforcement..it can make a differance..
I like it!!!Support is most important..esp. someone who is hurting/alone-struggling-we isolate..as addicts..its a great idea..
