I have a fracture in my knee, close to the shin bone. This happened when I fell on my knee, 10 days ago. I am wearing a brace except at night, when I take it off to sleep. I prop my feet up at all times. I am using a walker to get around the house, however, I don't walk much.

My broken leg's calf muscle is getting smaller that the other leg's muscle. I guess when I satart walking on the leg again, the muscle will become the same size as the other....right?

Does anyone have any good advice for healing broken bones? ( I take calcium supplements and eat a lot of dairy)

thanks.

No advice for dietary issues. But rest assured that both legs will look the same once you are up and walking again. It took mine around 4-6 months to equal out after hip surgery, but I also couldn't put any weight on it for 8 wks. So about 2-4 months after started walking.
Hope this helps some.
