Does anyone know about the metal free partial dentures called Valplast or Thermoflex? I am needing a partial denture for my two upper missing front teeth and found on line about these two partial denture products. They are metal free, made with some kind of flexible nylon instead of the rigid acrylic. I asked my dentist about it but he said he had patients used them but they complained the products were not very stable in the mouth and could not be repaired if broken. What I read on some web sites, however, say that they are not only esthetic but also a lot more comfortable plus they claim they are virtually unbreakable. Esthetic and comfort are my biggest concerns. The temperoary acrylic partial that I am wearing is bulky and uncomfortable. I am planning to wear a partial for only a few years and then put in implants when my financial situation improves. I'd really like to hear someone who are wearing or have used these products before and tell me the pros and cons. Would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on it.
