My 5 year old son fell off his bike 2 weeks ago and hurt his mouth. Now one of his front teeth is turning a greyish color. What is causing this and is there anything we can do about it? This is a baby tooth. Should we be concerned about his permanent tooth being damaged?
Thanks!

Well, usually if after an injury or fall the tooth turns color, it's b/c it's dying. I hear if it isn't causing him pain you can wait till it falls out especially since it's baby teeth and they should fall out anyway, but if it IS dying or dead, you don;'t want the decay of that spreading to other healthier teeth so just to err on the side of caution I'd get it checked out.
