I was doing my usual Gymnastics routine, I was practicing my backflip. I accidently underrotated and landed on me knees after my Left hand thumb hit the floor. This was at least 3 weeks ago and there is still a little pain and I still don't have full graspability. I tried Iciing it for a while, but it didn't seem to do much. Does anyone know what could've happend and what I should do? Thanks in advance.

There are several things that could have happened, however there is no way to tell unless you get a proper workup. Did you have an x-ray? Are any of the joints lax (unstable in directions they usually feel supported)? Can you actively bend, even if not full range, at all the joints of your thumb? Is it swollen?

I haven't had an X-Ray, and there is only a little pain, unless I accidently hit it on something. I can't fully extended it inward toward my palm or outward, but I can bend my thumb at all the joints.

If you can actively move it at all joints, then the tendons are intact. Does it feel "loose" or floppy when you try to move the joints to the sides (dont push too hard!) You may have simply sprained/ stretched one of the collateral ligaments, or you may have torn it ( sometimes called skier's thumb or gameskeepers thumb). If your thumb MCP (knuckle) is lax when you push your finger away from the webspace, see a doctor. A simple sprain only requires ice and rest, however a fully torn ligament requires casting or surgery.
