Up above my front tooth, on my gums. Is a small bump and It's been there for about 4 months and sometimes it actually bumps up and other times it's just swollen. It hurt when it was first coming in, almost like a cold sore but now it doesn't hurt at all, it's just awkward having this pimple like thing always in your mouth. I have been to the dentist but didn't say anything thinking that if it was something they would say something as they put a needle in practically on it. I've been to the doctor and he said it looks like a dental problem. I know I should go back to the dentist but i can't really afford it right now... please if anyone else has had this problem please let me know what it is!!

It sounds like a fistula. You can find a lot of information on the internet about them. I had them and had to have an apicoectomy on my front teeth. You may need a referal to an endontist.
Good luck (and it's best to leave it alone if you can).

actually I'd make sure it isn't a tooth abcess in development :S as I'm going through the whole tooth abcess, root canal, and two weeks of swelling and pain so far. It'd be nice to catch it before its too late.

Kind of sounds like an abcess..I also have a small pimple like bump above my front tooth also and its abcessed. It was there for months before it finally started bothering me. I just figured it was nothing! Then one day out of the blue I had this throbbin, achy, unbearable pain that started at the front tooth and traveled to the side of my mouth makin the rest of my teeth hurt. I had to suffer all weekend long with the pain and was seen at the dentist on a Monday afternoon, they did xrays and it showed my tooth was abcessed and the abcessed tooth was makin the other teeth hurt because of the pressure of the infection. They stuck me on a 7 day dosage of penicilln and it took the pain and pressure away for about 3 months now its actin up again so no more puttin it off. So I say if its an abcess it'll catch up with you soon!
