Is there anyone out there who has a child that suffers from this condition? My son was diagnosed Jan. 2000. His doctor says it is a perminent disability. I would like to hear from others who suffer from SCFE.

Hi, my son, now almost 15, had both sides pinned four years ago in an emergency surgery. He was active in sports, football, baskeball and baseball, and all of sudden he couldn't do any of it anymore.

Well, one of his pins broke and the military doctor told us that we shouldn't worry about it, but he is still limping very badly, he gets uncomfortable very quick and he can't turn his right leg inwards. He has seen the military pediatric surgeon who told us the same thing, that nothing could be done for him. This coming Tuesday I finally have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon at Nemours Children's Clinic in Jacksonville, and I am really hoping that he can do something for him. hi i had my left hip pinned in two thousand. it was a 90 degree slip, they said i would not walk again but i am .they have done no other surgery but pinnig.

they dont no wat will happen with me at all.
tell you son believe in himself and he will get what he needs idid. not the besst out come but i am walking.
