Hello all, I am ttc but I am just coming off of bcp. I completely messed up my pack in april and even though I took my placebo pills I never got my period I am now 5 days late. I don't know if it makes a difference but my pills got messed up in the end of 2nd week and all of 3rd week. I have been having symptoms that could be either af or just maybe baby. I never get symptoms before af but I know things can always change. I am really just looking for insight and maybe any storys of getting off bcp and fertility returning any at all.

Hmm hard to say since you are coming off BCP your body may be going through adjustments, but then there is a possibility that you are pregnant. Since you are 5 days late, I would probably wait a couple of more days and take a HPT when you are one week late.

It is fairly common to skip periods entirely while on birth control pills, so it could be that that is what is happening. As far as stories about coming off BCP...I had a normal 35 day cycle (I have long cycles) my first month off, started taking Vitex (it normalizes hormones) my second month because I could tell I was going to have a longer cycle than normal, ovulated on day 24 and got pregnant.
