My four year old complained of a headache about 2.5 weeks ago, it started out as a headache the nhe devoloped a fever of 103+, and wanted to sleep all day and night, I took him to the Er they found no reason for it. About a week later he complained again this one was mild went away w/ motrin. Today the sever headache is back, temp is about 101 and wants to sleep. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated I'm worried.

I have a friend and her little boy has migraines already at the same age. If she catches him when he starts to get the headache and can get medicine in him, he's fine. I don't understand the fever part, he doesn't have fevers with his migraines, so that could be something different. Have the doctors suggested any kind of testing? I would be worried more for the fevers than the headaches. I always had a lot of headaches and I feel so badly for your son. Not something you'd want to wish on a child.

I would go and see your doc asap or go to the ER if this happens again and he has a fever. A fever indicates that there is some sort of infection present and with a severe headache, this could be serious.

I agree with Super Sarah. This combination of symptoms - a high temp, bad headache and sleepiness - deserves an answer if only to rule out the possibility of a serious underlying disease/ condition.
Did the ER do any blood work?

Thank you all for the suggestions. No the ER didn't do any blood work. I took him to his regular doctor yesterday, there they did blood work, still waiting to hear. Has the docotor confused. He thought maybe something to do with sinus? I just heard that the blood work came back okay. Now back to the drawing board!
