I am really anxious now! Last night before I went to bed I felt something - it was my top front tooth that broke off - still have some tooth at the top very little though. This was a root canal tooth done many years ago and never had a cap or crown on it. I got very little sleep and am worried to death as to what the dentist will have to do. I am supposed to go this afternoon the earliest they could see me. I am lisping, I can't smile open my mouth or nothing. It looks HORRIBLE!!!! Anybody know what might happen?

He will prepare it for a CROWN tooth colored of course

Well he told me I had two options - pulled or a crown and the crown he couldn't guarantee. So I went ahead and told him to go for the crown. I have a temporary crown (so light colored) compared to my teeth. Said it would be 2 or 3 wks. before the permanent one comes in. Also it is going to be $775. Does that sound reasonable or high?
