View Full Version : Pain only when tapping on tooth

One of my front teeth hurts ONLY when tapping on it (for approx 1 month now). The tooth had a composite bond removed approximately one year ago, then I used Crest Whitestrips to bleach (teeth were VERY sensitive - could only bleach for 30 min. every other day). After I achieved the level of whiteness I wanted my dentist did some composite bonding up toward the gum line to cover up some gray areas of tooth. This is precisely where the pain is.

Had a consultation with an endodontist and he said the composite bond was fine and had not pulled away from the tooth. There is no pain to hot/cold or when biting down and chewing. The root looked fine, etc.

I travel a lot for work and I'm concerned about getting this diagnosed and fixed while I'm home since I've heard horror stories of flying, etc. with a tooth problem.

Anyone have any ideas what this might be?
