Hey Everyone/Anyone,
I just saw my neurologist today, and he is starting me on neurontin. I've heard of it, but I don't know much about it. I was hoping someone could tell me about their experience with the drug? And also, does it help at all?

I was on Neurontin for awhile and then came off it, as I gained weight on that drug.
I was also on an anti-depressant which can also cause weight-gain.
I have a history of migraine headaches, and at one time had 2 migraine strokes.Thank goodness I haven't had anymore of those since I'm on my medication.I've been taking Firocet for some time now(only as needed) not on a daily basis.
I found the Neurontin to be very helpful to me with little if any side-effects.
I only stopped it because of the weight I was gaining.
I also take Inderal and 2 other heart medications as I have fluctuating hypertension.

Hey thanks for replying. My doctor wanted me to try neurontin b/c the anti-depressant that I'm currently on (pamelor) I can't increase without becoming severely ill. I'm glad to hear someone has benefited from neurontin. Best wishes.
