Hi everyone... I'd like to get some advice from someone about the constant pain that I have. Last Nov. I fell on wet grass and had an oblique fracture in my ankle. I had to have an internal fixation.. I ended up having 8 screws and a plate. Winter has past and I haven't had too much pain, but now that it is starting to get humid, I am noticing that I have alot of swelling and tightness in my ankle.. any suggestions on what I can do to alleviate this? I am usually on my feet for many hours a day and never bothers me, not until the weather has changed.. now I am on my feet for an hour and it feels this way. Anyone have an internal fixation that still bothers them? My orthopaedic surgeon assured me that everything is normal.. I was just wondering what I could do for this, besides medication.
