I just read an article online that said that eating 4-6 tablespoons of peanut butter can help you loose weight. I was wondering if anyone has tried this and what the results were.

Gosh, peanut butter has 100 calories per tablespoon. Can't imagine how that's gonna work, but I'd love to hear that it does! :)

I eat about 6 tablespoons of peanut butter at least a day, mainly because it is basically my only fat source, and that fats that is does have are the healthy fats. I eat a lot of sugar free and low fat things so peanut butter is a convenient source of calories and fats for me. By the way, i dont know if my way of eating so much peanut butter falls under the "peanut butter diet" but i recently lost 22 lbs still eating tons of peanut butter a day. By the way, be wary though because it is easy to over eat peanut butter. I measure out my peanut butter in tablespoons though.

hmm.. well one thing i know is that when my mum had to go on a diet because of high cholesterol levels, her doctor strictly prohibited any peanut butter at all...(among lots of other things)
and i kinda think, when losing weight, whats good for high cholesterol patients, is good for you too...?

i know for myself that the fat and sugar in peanut butter only triggers something iside my fat cells that makes me want to eventually overeat
