Can someone please tell me about paxil and what are brain zaps. I have never been on medication and when I first went to the doctor he prescribed paxil to me but I never took it. I'm scared I won't be the same when and after I take it. I already posted something about medication or no medication but I would like to know about specific experiences with Paxil and if anyone know of any other medication that works good.

There is reason for concern. However the risk of not taking the med far outweight the side effects. I do not take this but i do know of dozens of people who do. Most all with good results.

Hi! I understand your concern, I used to have an eating disorder, and was prescribed Paxil also! I was scared to death to take it, I heard all kind of horror stories about it, but truth be told I had a very positive experience with it, if your doctor prescribed it it's because you need it, and believe me it helps! I know everyone is different but for me Paxil was a life saver!
