I actually measured myself one month ago yesterday for the first time since I had started working out (which was last August). Well, I remeasured myself lastnight, the same places I did one month ago, and according to my measurements, I have lost 13.25 inches total in ONE MONTH?!!! I couldn't believe it! Now, I've only actually lost 6 pounds in the last month. I know you lose inches before pounds, but sheesh! I hope that my measurements are accurate, but is it possible to lose that many inches in one month alone??

I would say that it is possible. Im sure you are toning up those muscles. And six lbs in a months is a resonable amount. Good Job!

If you're working out, yes. If you're dieting, but not exercising, I would think not.

I always lose inches before pounds when I work out.

Also, sometimes people lose a lot of water weight when they first start dieting - which is great, unless you start expecting yourself to lose that much EVERY month, because that just adds pressure.

Anyway, good for you!

FrogGurl,
When you say you lost those inches off your measurements, are we talking waist, hips, bust or some other combination?

Nixona

I measured my bust, back (under bust and around), upper AND lower abdomen, hips, butt, R and L arm and R and L thigh. So, I measured in quite a few areas :)

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I looked at my 30 day before and after pictures, and you can totally see the difference between them, its pretty cool. I still have a ways to go before I look the way I want to, but at least it looks like I'm heading in the right direction. :)
