hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has ever had a cystoscopy with retrograde pyelogram and could share your experience, pre and post procedure? I'm having one on 5/6,this friday. I have a chronic condition which causes chronic nausea and I'm always dehydrated, which has increased my stone formations and I have a hard time flushing them out.I have a stone in the lower pole of my left kidney that wont pass, tiny pieces break off and cause terrible pain at times I'm getting frequent bladder infections now.CT scan has shown multiple stones in my ureters and bladder also.I also get frequent stones coming from my right kidney. Only twice has the pain been so bad where I had to go to the emergency room for fluids and pain meds.
Most of you seem to have more experience with dealing with your stones, and having a lot of different procedures/surgeries. If nobody responds by friday I'll post my experience! thanks, this board is great! mar

I had a cystoscope with retrograde pyelogram a week ago. I am still having blood in my urine, extreme pain in the kidney and bladder  occasionally and a constant urge to urinate with stabbing pains. How long was your recovery?
