The U. C. seems to have gone away for now. After my colonscopy the dr put me on Canasa and it helped alot! :)

Great to hear you're feeling better. The Canasa is a 5ASA medication which works effectively.
Your UC flare is being controlled...it doesn't go away. Did your doctor give you instructions as to tapering the Canasa...did he say for you to stay on them nightly?
You cannot stop them abruptly..your flare symptoms can return. They have to be tapered properly.
I've used 5ASA meds for 16 years..They treat my flares effectively, and I taper and increase accordingly to my symptoms.
I'm happy for you to have such quick success with the Canasa.
