Hi,

I'm new to this board. I had a hip replacement on 3/28/05. I'm still limping and walk with a cane almost 6 weeks post surgery. A physical therapist told me before the surgery that I should be walking without a limp or cane 4 weeks post surgery. I see from reading posts here that it's a mixed bagged as to when people were walking without a limp.

I saw the dr. Monday and he told me the ideal cup placement is 45 degrees. Mine ended up being 62 degrees which means I have a greater chance of dislocating. Can any of you share your experiences with this? Do you know what your cup placement angle is and have you had problems as a result? I'm interested to see if others have a similar angle as mine and haven't found it to be a problem. I've very concerned about this.

Thanks!
