my gf has this thing where in the middle of the night, she will have to wake up, and walk around for a bit before going to bed again. It's not sleep walking.
She says that during the night, there is this feeling that wakes her up, and her body just feels all wierd and stuff, and it forces her to get up, and walk around the room for a while, before feeling better and going back to sleep.
does anyone know what i'm talking about? how can we fix this? is there a term for this?

Is it a feeling in a certian part of the body or all over?
If it's the legs It could be a form of Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD)

she says it's usually below the waist that has those feelings...and when it occurs, she wants to move her legs around....

It sounds like Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). It is similar to a PLMD, but not exactly the same. Has she spoken with her doctor? If it is RLS, there are effective treatments available. Good luck.

It sounds like it could be restless legs syndrome. That can be helped with clonazepam tablets. My mom says it made her rls go away, after years of suffering with it.
