Hello there, I understand your problem and your situation. I often find myself not filling full and still wanting more food...Fruit is really good for you so dont worry about eating too much fresh fruit.. Just make sure if its canned its low sugar or no sugar added...Almonds are a big friend of mine they are one thing that helps fill full and thier delish. Hope I helped and always Take care. :)

Well, watermelon is mostly water and I don't think it would ever make you feel full, lol. You probably need some protein for that. I find that when I ramp up my protein intake I feel full longer and have fewer cravings for sweets, to boot. Good luck. :)

Hey hayley0610-
Look into the Volumetrics diet. They deal with satiety level of eating (feeling full). I have the same problem and this form of eating has helped me feel "full". But true huger is something our stomachs and brain need to get into sync with.

I agree with you, especially since I gave up all of my junk food and am eating less carbs....I don't feel full...but some things, such as steamed vegetables, fill me up. Try a baked potato or something like that (with light cheese or molly mc butter). It will fill you up, and it isn't too high in calories and fat.

Are you eating fast?
I read that in order for your body to tell when it's full, you have to spend at least 20 minutes eating.
I hope this is useful information :)

Okay, here's something that is guaranteed to fill ya up and taste great. Low in calories too. It is my own recipe and you can combine, mix spices, veggies to your heart's desire.
Take a pound of frozen vegetables - use any of the following: cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, green beans, Chinese veggies, peppers, carrots (use moderation with these). Use chicken bullion as a base. Thow in spices that you like. Use just enough water so that when it boils down there is about an inch of water left. Put in a packet of Butter Buds. Eat the whole pot. If you need calcium/protein, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. If you need a LOT of calcium, add Swiss cheese or cheddar cheese. I make Italian version, Mexican version, and Oriental version. My Italian version is cauliflower, chicken bullion, Italian seasoning, garlic, onion, and a little bit of tarragon, and pepper. Sometimes I'll throw in cayenne, depending on my mood. The Italian version HAS to have Swiss cheese.
I can eat this every night and never get tired of it. The Mexican version uses Adobo as the base with cumin as the main spice. Very tasty with brocolli! What's nice is the veggies at the store come in 1 pound bags, which I consider "single-serving" size. I think people would be horrified if they saw how much I eat and how thin I am....
Oh, and the brussels version, those belong by themselves. I just cook them with chicken bullion, garlic, and a little sugar to take away the bitterness. Now THOSE will fill ya up. Swiss cheese is good on those too.
Enjoy!

Hayley,
What about this??
"A case where genetics severely affects hunger is in the rare genetic disorder called Prader-Willi Syndrome. Because the hypothalamus functions abnormally, people with this syndrome are constantly hungry and can never be satisfied no matter how much is consumed. Unless parents set up a controlled diet early on in the child's life, obesity will be one of the results of this syndrome."
Supposed to be rare tho -- but the only outward sign is: You never feel full! Maybe it is not so rare?
But i think the hypothalamus can produce a whole range of syndrome like this -- with Prader-Willi being the most extreme expression of it.
