is it an effective way to tell if i already have bad breath or not...just by smelling my dentures?

when i smell my denture and it doesnt smell bad, does it mean that i dont have bad breath and vice versa?

Since you are asking this question I am guessing that maybe you are wondering if you may sometimes be smelling something suspicious but are not sure if it is your bad breath... Anyway, I had this experience... After dinners I would notice a bad smell but I wasn't sure where it was coming from... After a dental checkup the X-ray showed a large cavity hidden away in between two teeth... It was not visible to casual inspection and surprized the dentist... After I got it filled (it was almost a root canal) the smells stopped... Soooo, I guess that cavity put out a rotten odor after the bacteria got some nourishment... That's my experience.

i have a problem with my dry mouth. so im very conscious of my breath. they say that once you have dry mouth, you have bad breath right? sthat is why im asking is smelling my dentures an effective way to know if i have bad breath or not
