If you didn't weigh yourself at the same time each day that could be the cause. Its best to weigh yourself first thing in the morning! I'm sure its probably only water gain!

Weight can fluctuate by about 5 pounds( especially when it's that time of the month). Go by your weight first thing in the morning after you've used the bathroom and you're not PMSing. That is your most accurate.

If you haven't had a period in 5 months please see a doctor. How tall are you? Some women who over exercise, diet, and are underweight may have irregular periods( Don't know the exact medical explanation but it may have something to do with hormones). How old are you? Women in their mid to late 30s can be perimenopausal which can affect menstrual regularity. You don't think you're pregnant do you? Are you experiencing any pelvic pain? Please let us know how you are and take care of yourself!

Hey don't sweat it. I have that problem too. I weigh myself constantly and it really does no good. Yes weight can flucuate to about 5 lbs. Weighing yourself 3 days appart is still too much. Try it once a week at the same time, and like the other people said before, go to the bathroom. Have you been comsuing a little more salt then usual? Or drinking more water? That could be the problem. You probally are retaining water weight so don't worry. I worried and picked up an eating disorder so just be careful. The scale is lame.

I am 5ft5, 17 years old. I dont want to see a doc about it because they might put me on birth control and that might make me gain weight. There is no way I could be pregnant so that isnt a possibility,.

OK well if you are 5'5" then you probably don't need to be losing weight! If you feel flabby, then you might need to exercise more. Women can lose their periods as a result of low body fat. This is horrible for your body. It can result in a loss of bone mass and this will effect you for the rest of your life. You really need to go to the doctor and get checked out. Not all birth control is going to cause weight gain and even if it does, this is better than ruining your life.

I workout everyday before school, so I shouldn't be flabby... I went from 136 pounds from december. Like I will not feel flabby one day, but the next day i feel like a blob. I just so happend to have a dr appt checkup on Thursday, but its just a checkup.

Something is definately wrong if you haven't had a period in 5 months. You need to see a gynecologist. As far as the weight goes, weigh yourself once a week first thing in the morning after using the bathroom. The missed period could mean several things. You may be dieting too strictly. That can also lead to gaining weight.

I think you should take it easy with the weight loss hun. Seriously....I am 5'2" and should weigh no less than 120. You are 3 inches taller than me. You should be weighing a little more than me to be healthy. You probably lost the weight to fast. You should not judge how you look on how much you weigh because honestly I weigh a lot more than I should but I don't look like it. Each body carry's it differently and you need to be careful. Please be safe with your weight loss. What are you doing for your weight loss besides excersizing? If you don't mind me asking. Go to the doctor. BTW if you get on birth control it doesn't mean you will gain weight. I got put on Yasmin and I actually lost weight. So good luck and be safe! :)

I started off at 136 pounds in december, i still had the same workout routine that i did now, but i had tons of muscle and didnt really do that much cardio. I used to eat small breakfasts and lunches, but then when i would come home from school, i would just binge which would really upset me. Then around christmas time, i ate 1700 calories, not purposely, i just did. I lost 5 pounds easily. And then I ate 1200-1300 calories for about 2 and a half weeks, then went from 1400-1600 calories for about6-8 weeks. I dont weight list as much as i used to, i do a little more cardio. Now, I eat about 1700-1950 calories a day, but i record everything i eat, and measure out foods like cereal, milk, peanut butter etc. I eat a low sugar/ sugar free diet because I have never really been a fan of sugary foods. I also drink a ton of coffee. I actually eat a larger breakfast now, and dont binge anymore after school. But I am just so paranoid to gain weight because I worked so hard for this. My friend even told me I had the body of a 5 year old the other day, because she said I have no hips of breasts, which is the exact opposite of what I think because I hate my hips... I just really do not want to gain weight at all but at the same time want to be healthy.
