I just started using Rembrandt Plus Toothepaste today, which can be seen here:

(Although the Plus I have sports the Oral-B logo on the tube and box, which none online I've found have--a newer version I guess.)

When first applied to my teeth a tingling, almost slightly burning, sensation came from my lower and upper front gums. I assume the whitening additive (in this product: Urea Peroxide?) is causing this.

After brushing and rinsing I took a look at my teeth--although my eyes were focused at my gums. My front lower and top gums, where I had that sensation earlier, were white (around the rims)--stained where rubbing didn't wipe it off

It disappears completely after about 20-30 minutes, but still odd.

Anyone want to make a conjecture as to what's going on here? Is it a problem with my gums?

I don't want to think this is eroding my gums, so I'll probably switch to another product.
