hello everyone...my sister was diagnosed with a melonoma on her leg in which she had surgery to have removed (stage 3)...one of her lymph nodes had a tumor on it as was found out during the surgery....she has since been taking interferon for the past month in which is it said to be the time where it is most effective....it is making her very sick and tired, which in turn is destroying her quality of life....the problem we are faced with is deciding to keep up the treatment or not?....it is purely optional for her with the recommendation from her doctor to keep it up for a year....seeing her demeanor i doubt she can take it physically...anyone in this situation plz, any shred of advice you can give would be very helpfull for our family and my sister....we are leaning for her to keep up the treatment and that is probably what we will do....maybe i just need some reassurance we are doing the right thing....from the begining we have been told after the surgery it would be over...then the interferon...then it was one month on that...now they are saying a year.
