Hello everyone! It's been a while since I have been here. I seem to be having problems with my son and outright not listening. He left to be with my family until we move because my dh is in the Military. Dh is not here and I have to move on my own. But my son seem to have an impulsive problem. Like he bolted on my family and my sister in law lost him for a 1/2 hour. He went out to eat with my mom and again, he bolted, almost got hit by a car. And he steals other people's food even when you know that he knows it's wrong. Or we will mess up a room for no reason. And he also has been hitting his cousin. Could it be mom not being there and the disruption in schedule that he is acting out? And my mom disciplined him, she said he didn't cry and that it disturbed her. He just does things on an impulse without even thinking about it before hand. He touches stuff even though we tell him no. And he does know better, he is almost 6 years old. Can anyone shed some light as to why he may be doing this and what is an effective course of discipline to help him understand it's not okay to do??
