I've had tinnitus for the past year, at first it was really difficult to live with, in fact i was nearly at the end of my teather. After a few months it started to subside and i felt better.

About 2 months ago i started listening to my minidisc player again, i listened to it for about 30minutes and for a week or so after my tinnitus incresed in volume. For some reason i couldn't stop listening for it, im not sure if that made it worse. Luckily it went away.

Unfortunatley i went to a pub quiz the other night,Wednesday, and was sat near to one of the speakers, only a small one, and my ears have started hissing again. It was only 40minutes long. My girlfriend didn't say it was loud and nobody else complained. I didn't come out feeling the ear fullness or anything, just a bit of a hiss, which im not sure i had earlier. The day or so before, i started to get a ring and it has just esculated from there. The thing is im not sure if i've damged them further or if i've got very stressed out and annoyed over thinking ive damged them again. Either way im feeling very depressed.

I'm just fed up, it seems like i can't do anything anymore without worrying if it will damage my ears further. Im feeling sick with fright, i don't want to spend my life feeling sick with worry.

Ive been taking Grinko Bilooba but they still hiss, im getting sick of it and sometimes start to feel i wish i wasn't here, not good i know, but its horrible.
Well 've got tears coming down my cheeks so i'll leave it there. Any encouraging words wouldn't go a miss but im not banking on a miracle.
Cheers for listening,
Shaun.

After my Tinnitus came from infection, I have since stopped listening to loud music or earphones due to the fright of making the problem worse..

I am just starting on lipoflavanoids and if I see no change in two months will try Vinpocetine as mentioned on these boards..

Don't forget the sonic care tooth brush/eraser idea..

I am sick of this stupid problem, I can see why Shaun is upset. Sorry to hear about your reoccurrence Shaun, I feel your pain.

When will the federal government put some real fund into this field of study.. geez..

Fabian.

What is the sonic care tooth brush/eraser idea?
I might want to try it.
Thanks!

Debbie
