Just wondering if you found the results of your blood work? I need some good news from someone in a similar situation!

Hi Orchid 23. The test was taken on 4/29/05 and the WBC is 11.5 The range with this lab is 3.6 - 11.0. The doctor didn't seem a bit concerned. On 12/08/04 it was 13.8. So it has come down some. I did some research a while back and slightly elevated WBC could be an infection and stress. I've been under stress the past few years. For it to be leukemia I think that it would have to be 30 times the range. Being just .5 above the range isn't causing me any concern. Again, I'm heading in the right direction.

Thats good to hear. My doc isn't concerned either- but my imagination often gets the better of me :) I have been under a lot of stress too....plus I did have an infection develop shortly after my elevated count. Thanks for posting and best of health!
