i've been on a number of different birth controls for years, my most recent one being Levlite. (brand name, as any generic form is known to give me migraines) I haven't had a period since February-March (estimated, I'm honestly not sure when my last period was!) and around mid to late March I got a little worried that I was pregnant so I stopped taking my birth control. Since then, I've gained anywhere from 20-40 lbs, my breasts have grown from a 38C to a 40DD, and I've had some crazy mood swings. (which is actually not very normal for me) I took 2 at home pregnancy tests which were negative, and got a blood test done at Planned Parenthood, which was also negative. I need to get in to see a doctor but things are hectic at work right now, I haven't been able to take a day off yet. What are your thoughts on this super un-fun predicament?

Well I came off the pill around the beginning of March and everything seemed fine until 4wks later when I gained like 6lbs in 2 weeks and my stomach swelled so large I thought it would burst! For another 3 weeks my stomach stayed in its swollen state and just as mysterious as swelling began it disappeared. I guess the hormones are trying to get back in order again, but one thing I noticed is that my breast size went down almost immediatly, and I've also missed 2periods myself so don't dispair yet. Do you work out at all? I've been goinging at it like crazy and really watching my diet.

If three tests have been negative, I highly doubt you're pregnant. More likely you stopped having periods because you were on the pill and there was not enough lining to shed. Now that you're off the pill, your body is just likely not yet adjusted to the lack of hormones, and as such, not building up a lining to shed. Irregularity when stopping the pill is VERY common.

good good, that's what i'm thinking.
i believe my biggest problem is the large group of women in my life that want me to be pregnant so bad it hurts. if i even sneeze the wrong way they think i'm totally knocked up, so this has been a hay day for them :)

LOL...yes, it's amazing how things like that can make us convince ourselves of a diagnosis!
