I was on Ortho Evra (patch) for 8months, it worked fine with the exception of the mild nausea when changing patches.....BUT I noticed after the 5-6th month that my discharge was increasing... A LOT !! It comes out to the point it feels like i peed in my pants ! it soaks my panties and even sometimes wets my pants or runs down my leg...
My bf lives away right now, so I took it off...of course expecting the discharge to subside. Ive had it off for going on 3 weeks i beleive, and the discharge has persisted. Today being the worst, i honestly could have filled a whole big spoon just 10mins ago. Oh the texture is almost like...yogurt...very much so actually. Smooth and creamy.
Anyone know what is causing this? Will it let up?

could you have a yeast infection? you can have one without having the itchiness/burning sensations. i just started the patch, im on my second week and a couple days ago i started having a little bit of whitish yellowish discharge and burning and itching, i called my gyno and she said it sounded like a yeast infection and sent me a script for some 7 day cream. she said yeast infections were normal when you are getting on and off the pill bc of the change in hormones which effects the ph in your vagina. i would call your gyno and ask for a script for something for yeast. you can have a yeast infection for a while and it will just get worse, its not something that is going to just go away, it might get better for a while but it will come back unless you take medicine for it bc you have to kill the infection and the candida overgrowth. most of the time when you have a thick, whitish discharge it's a yeast infection.
