View Full Version : Pilates Upper Body dvd... killing my hands.

Hey all,
I do Pilates.
Abs every day, and upper body and lower body 3x a week each.

They're great and all, but I've got a beef with the upper body dvd...
They tell you when you're holding your weights, to EXTEND YOUR FINGERS. What does this mean? It means your thumb has to support all the weight.
This HURTS!! I'm not understanding how the girls in the video can do it comfortably, but I find I just CAN'T do it.

I'm wondering... is there REALLY any MAJOR reason as to why you're suppose to extend your fingers??
And if not, is it allright if I wrap my fingers around the weights?
