Hi everyone...I'll try to be brief with my story :)
I have a co-worker who annoys the life out of me. She is a know it all, major ***** and goes out of her way to annoy me. At first I thought that it was just my imagination...but when a few new co-workers came to the magazine, they talked to me about it. She can't stand me and I can't stand her...but all I want is a way to just ignore her! I get angry just by looking at her! She's a mean person who doesn't care about other peoples feelings and after working with her for the past three years, I think that I have reached my limits!! Do you guys have any advice on how I can make myself just ignore her, and not get upset at every snide comment and mean remark!! Please help me on this!!!!

I have definatly been in that situation before several times. The best way to do it and I know its hard is to kill her with kindness! Put on the biggest smile when you walk in the room even if its the cheesiest one ever. Be extra nice to her and everybody else and believe me it works, its hard but I work with over 1,500 people and half are women. Turn the situation around and if you saw her every day with a big smile when she walked in you would be surprised and not know what to do either.

Thanx for the reply :)
I'll give it a shot even though everytime I've tried to be nice she just annoys me more! I'll try being EXTREMELY nice and see if that freaks her out and gets her off my back! thanks again! I'll let you know how that works out.

I don't know if you are still checking this thread, but you and I must be working in the same place! I work with a mean lying co-worker. It is so bad, human resources got involved with this yesterday and my boss is talking to the site manager this very second. My boss also hates this coworker of mine and has said that she is a "b" in the past and she knows that she lies. This coworker is very mean and nasty. A habitual liar. They don't fire anyone here!!! I have so much to say but I will stop right here. Reason being is that I just spent so much time writting a letter about my experiences I have had regarding my coworker so I am pooped. I feel for you, believe me, I know your pain.

Hi
I'm a manager for a grocery store, I have had probelm employee's and yes it can be stressfull but you have to look at it this way, Don't stoop to there level-she is not worth it nor is she worth the stress she is creating. She knows it bother's you and she is enjoying it.You were not put of this earth to please everyone and to be everyone's friend. Other peopel have notice this woman's action's so they are also losing reapect for her. They respect you but not her. So the next time you go to work, hold your head up high and say to yourself, I'm glad I'm not her.
Karen
