Hi Wattagirl~
My children all have unique belly buttons. I am not sure if this will be helpful because I am sort of sorry with decribing (that's why I delayed my responding hoping someone else would....) BUT here goes:
12yr son- Has an "INnie" it is sunked in. It doesnt really feel any thing (he sure looked at me wierd when I asked to feel his belly button.....especially when I told him I wondered if it felt like a swollen tick http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif )
5yr daughter- Has a cute little belly button. Not really In or Out.....just cute like a button. It has a little knot but is really soft.
3yr daughter- Kind of an "OUTie". It doesn't protrude or anything but her belly button is sort of twisted/curled/folded over and it feels like a lump. I remember it used to stick out more and it did feel like a little bubble or knot in there but that is gradually improving (like the docs said it would)
**I doubt this helped much. I am not too great with descriptions but I did want to respond.
