my daughter who is 5 is coughing in the morning. we have taken her to the doctor for quite sometime and there is not much improvement. there is phlegm in her throat but she can't spit them out. is there any advice ?

He started him on singulair and it seems to be helping. Has your doctor mentioned asthma? patriot_4229 05-26-2003, 07:19 AM no. she only coughs at night and the doctor has thoroughly checked her lungs. PinkPiglet 05-26-2003, 11:37 PM My kids do the same - it's asthma with them. Their lungs sound okay at dr.'s but it's asthma none the less. For a lot of kids coughing is the only asthma symptom they get - their lungs sound clear. I would see if they would try ventolin or another asthma med to see if it would help. My 3 kids are all on different meds, we had to try a number of different ones to see what worked. Good luck! ------------------ Pink |
