Hello everyone. I am new to this forum but I've been looking at all of the posts and everyone seems so helpful so I thought I'd give it a try. Anyway, my son is 9 months. He will be 10 months in 3 days and he still isn't crawling. He can scoot pretty good and he gets on his hands and knees but thats about all. Should I really be concerned. This is my first child so I really dont know what age infants should start reaching developemental marks. My pediatrician has assured me that all babies develope at their own pace but pediatricans are supposed to say those things. I want to hear from some real parents not just some guy trying to make me feel better.

Some babies never even crawl. My friends son never crawled he would drag his body across the floor to get around until he learned to walk. The doctors told his parents that he was perfectly healthy just wanted to do things his own way. So if your child is healthy you really dont have to worry about it.

Hi there!Robyn is right.Some never crawl.My little guy didn't crawl until 10 or 11 months.He didn't walk until 14 months.They develop at different rates.

Hi I think your dr. is right. My 1st dd was running around the house when she was 9 months but my second still wasn't crawling she was about 10 months when she finally started crawling and finally took her first step a week before she turned a year old.

My son never crawled he rolled where ever he wanted to go. He was pretty quick with doing that too. He was my slow baby and didn't walk on his own until he was at least 1 1/2 years old.

some babies never do crawl. i was one of them and sometimes the baby goes from scooting to walking. just give him time . i am sure he will be fine. i hope this helps. best of luck

my son is also almost 10 mos old, and for the past 2.5 mos he has been rolling .. crawling backwards.. rocking etc.. but won't crawl.. so I am in the same position as you...
