Does anyone have any information on the use of special pillow and mattress cover with magnets in them, to help get to sleep faster and get a deeper sleep? I've been dealing with insomnia for about 5 years. Im a fairly active person and need at least 7 hours sleep. I had been using ambien and just recently lunesta by double dosing -- that is take a full dose --- sleep for 3 or 4 hours --- wake up and take another full dose. My MD seems to support that approach, but I've been speaking with a few people recently who claim that using the pillow and mattress cover with magnets may not cure but may reduce the problem to a more manageable state. I'd like to hear from someone who is not involved in selling the products.

I guess you could try the magnets if they arent too expensive for you
IMO all sleeping pills eventually stop working if you rely totally on them
