Hi,
I have a severe high frequency hearing loss, thus the best choice for me is Behind The Ear hearing aids.
I am looking for styles that have a very thin tube from the device to the ear. I am self conscious about the very large ear molds. I have tried Sebotek and have seen the Resound Air, but neither worked for me (The Sebotek kept working out of my ear canal, and Resound had too much feedback). I have very active ear/jaw muscles, plus my left ear canal is rather small.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I've been wearing aids for most of my life. I must say that the BTE aids are not as noticable or as bulky as the manufacotrs would have you believe. Imean the way they talk about them, almost makes it sound like they are the equalivant of earhorns or those awful bulky body worn aids. I am very open about my aids...have them in colors AND they are otherwise decorated too! (beads and charms) Why not take an "When I am an Old Lady I Shall Wear (a) Purple (Hearing Aid) view on this? Hearing aids should be cool!

I really admire your confidence. I wish I could be as confident but I am not. I am very self consious about my hearing aids. I wear the behind the ear kind as well, and wear my hair down most of the time to hide it.
I agree, we should not feel so bad about wearing hearing aids since it does help us to hear. People wear glasses, they do not hide it.

Hi, I wear the Starkey A-13 and they are pretty small. I would rather have the in the canal kind but my hearing is too severe for them.
