Hey, I'm 18 female and like this year i have notice that i keep getting up to four headaches a day. I don't take pills every time, i take two a day for them. The pains in the front of my head, like around the forehead to the sides of my temples to around the top of my head sometimes its like throbbing. I don't know whats wrong with me maybe its migrains? i don't really know. Usually the headaches occur during school, so its not like its the sun, because I'm constantly in classes. Sometimes i get them from just lying down. If anyone could suggest anything it would be greatly appreicated

Hello iheartu,
I know I hate it when people say "you have to go the doc." but, its the only way you can find out for sure what's really wrong. Having HA everyday is NOT normal, :nono: I know because I had them, and I know how being in school with a headache can be!
What do you take for the headache?? I used to take excedrine for migraines. and even now i keep taking them since i can't take the imitrex that the doc prescribed.
Anyways, I guess your best bet is to go to the doc, and they'll run a series of tests to see if there's nothing serious, and then they'll give a diagnose. At least that happened with me. But hey, do try get checked. Sorry if didnt helped much.

Do you grind your teeth- alot of time people who grind their teeth while awake or sleeping will get headaches. Also teeth clenching can cause headaches.

Ibuprofen is a good drug to take because you don't get the rebound headaches like you would with Imitrex, and excedrin and a lot of other migraine pills. They are scary so watch out for doctor throwing pills at you, though I've been to the point where I just wanted that. I just recently bought the book heal your headaches, the 1-2-3 program by Dr David Buchholz which I've seen reccomended on here many times. I've always had headaches but recently for the past six months, I've had them EVERY SINGLE DAY, and sometimes so severe (migraines) that I can't cope. I am still experiencing them but I eliminated every single trigger listed in the book from my diet and will let you know how it works. You would have to have good self control but with the headaches I get, I will do anything to get rid of them. You should at least read the book and see what you think. I'll let you know how it goes.

I've had pretty good luck with combining Ibuprofen with diet coke at the first onset of a migraine. It doesn't completely knock it out, but it lessens the severity and duration.
Good luck with getting some relief.
