I just started othro tri-cyclin lo...and I have gotton quite depressed since taking them...I also have a lot of spotting. ( I was on the regular othro about 3 yrs ago and had very very bad depression and bi-polar/moody reaction to it...I thought i was going crazy). I finally stopped that and switched to Levelin..but that had also started to make me moody....
Now I just do know what to do..or what to try next...any one have any suggestions...
Also, has anyone heard much about the arm impland bc..like norplant2...
Thanks!

I was on Ortho Lo and I was very moody and down a lot. I always got ticked off for no reason or stupid little things. I have recently switched to Lo Ovral, a monophasic pill, and things are MUCH better. I am so much happier on it =)
You should try a monophasic pill where the hormone dosages are the same throughout the month. My problem was, that on Ortho Lo, the dosages would switch each week and it just drove my body and mind crazy. Best of luck-Sunkissed

Ovcon-35 is a good one (it's monophasic), that's what I'm on. I'd say stay away from the norplant, my friend gained 70 lbs. on it. That would make me depressed in and of itself.

Yeah, that's another bad one. I thought about going on it before, and my sister said she gained weight from it, so I was like nooo way. She lost hers when she went off of it.

The right birth control pill depends on the individual and there is no birth control that are better than others. For some people a monophasic pills works better for others its a triphasic the one that works best. Actually triphasic bc pills are suppose to have the least side effects because it mimics more the natural hormone changes that occur in a woman normal cycle.
